A Canadian cleantech firm has produced a super-efficient cogeneration solution able to reduce electricity costs by up to 70 per cent. The company said that its proprietary FLU-ACE, a particular heat recovery technology, combined with the existing power generation technologies can offer the market a solution that represents an incredible energy efficiency improvement over typical cogeneration systems widely available.
This technology may be of particular importance in the industrial sector, with a heat capture technology aimed at increasing efficiency. The developed system is a direct contact condensing heat recovery system that recovers the waste heat from the exhausts on boilers, dryers and other industrial heat sources. The recovered energy can be used to pre-heat water, heat domestic hot water, can be used for heating systems. In addition, FLU-ACE technology reduces greenhouse gases and helps work towards energy reduction targets.
