The Italian company Rana Diving SpA and Workships Contractors from the Netherlands have put together their experiences and skills to bring new ideas to the offshore industry of the North Sea with newly-formed RanaWorks BV.
RanaWorks BV’s aim is to activate floating maintenance bases, permanently arranged in the North Sea, in order to offer fast, flexible and efficient solutions to multiple marine asset owners and operators in wind, oil and gas.
The society has introduced a new inspection, maintenance and repair concept to the North Sea offshore industry with with the integration of subsea and above water services.
Rana Diving SpA has more than 50 years’ experience in commercial diving and subsea operations. Workships Contractor has been a marine operator for nearly 30 years, with extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas and offshore wind industries. Both the founding companies are members of the International Marine Contractors Association and are certified to the international standards expected by the industry, such as ISO 9001 and 14001, OHSAS 18001 and IRATA.
“Together, we are able to bring fresh ideas to the table in a market that is in need of innovative solutions in order to significantly improve the efficiency of installation and maintenance of offshore windfarms and other assets,” said RanaWorks’ general manager Philip Woodcock.
