The exhibition will be held in Hanover, Germany, from 12 to 16 November 2013.
The organizer DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) reports outstanding stand-booking figures for the international trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment, Agritechnica 2013, taking place at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover from 12 to 16 November 2013. More than 2700 exhibitors from 47 countries represent a new record level: at present the number of exhibitors is about two per cent higher than the final figure two years ago. The international component is 53 per cent – higher than ever before. The exhibition floor area has also grown from around 38 hectares in 2011 to now 41 hectares (representing a plus of about 8 per cent). With these registration figures Agritechnica is further consolidating its position as the world’s largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment.
The increase in visitor numbers by comparison with the past event comes exclusively from outside Germany. Most of the altogether 1,453 international companies are recruited from Italy (355 companies), the Netherlands (113), France (101), China (100), Turkey (81), Austria (78), the United Kingdom (60), Poland (57), Canada (54), USA (47), Denmark (46) and Spain (44). Above-average increases can be noted in particular from China, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Turkey. DLG sees the registration figures as a clear signal for the increasing global orientation of companies and agribusiness with their worldwide interconnections. The companies want to use the Agritechnica platform specifically to develop new markets.
Agritechnica is also the most important forum for presenting new machinery and equipment. This is evidenced by the nearly 400 innovations that exhibitors have reported to DLG. In particular the ever-faster growing use of electronics offers farmers new opportunities for necessary increases in efficiency on a broad basis. This makes Agritechnica the most significant innovations engine for farming. Large numbers of solutions for the sector are presented here.
