In India was developed an IT project for an integrated software, which can optimize about Rs 50,000 crore for the national carrier over the years.

A particular integrated software IR-OneICT will enable data collection at sources with minimum handling and become a single source of validated and authentic information for the rail sector.
There are already many stand-alone software developed for various purposes sector-specialized, but the proposed integrated software envisages timely availability of actionable information for authorized persons at place of use and enable improved data analysis and usage.
Better capacity and asset utilization would help the Indian railways system runs more trains, carries more freight, provides better and reliables services to passengers, increases its revenues and makes its operations more safe.
